Comments Thread For: Mikkel Kessler To Be Ringside For Froch-Groves II

The Viking Warrior, former super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (46-3, 35KOs), is still undecided on his future but he will be ringside to watch the rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves on May 31st at Wembley Stadium. Kessler, 35-years-old, has been inactive since losing a twelve round unanimous decision in his rematch with Froch last May in London.

    This makes sense

Froch-Kessler 3 is an easy money grab for both guys..

Groves would pay big bucks to get Kessler in the ring and if he could beat froch and Kessler, groves would be a uk superstar, and would have a very legit chance of landing a huge fight with ward, ggg,

Kessler should stay retired from active boxing, unless there's an attractive money fight for him left. He should do commentary work instead and earn good tv money. He's a bright lad and well articulated.

Ward isn't a "huge fight" he can't draw flies

if anything it'd be Ward "landing a huge fight" with Groves

Would much sooner see how Kessler fairs with Groves as Froch style wise has Kesslers number.

Don't want to see kessler froch 3, that business is settled
& they are both past their peaks especially Kessler.
I'm backing Groves but if Froch comes through he should
Have a winnable farewell fight in vegas, not Ward though thank you

I for one would always enjoy watching Kessler and Froch go at it again. Especially if Froch wins, then it could be time to call it a day, finishing off with a trilogy with one of the fiercest ever in smw.

Kessler vs the winner sounds good.

If Froch wins they could have a neutral ground 3rd fight to settle things for good.

If Groves wins its a nice crossroads fight.

Lol at the suggestion of GGG or Ward being a reward for getting through these fights. How many fights have either of them been in that sold out 60,000 tickets in an hour or anything remotely close to it? The winner could do much bigger numbers against lesser opposition like James DeGale.

So true, they can keep Ward on ice for quite a while longer. I love it, make him travel so he can truly prove his status.
