It's a damn shame people are writing off Maidana this bad. I mean honestly, Cotto gave Mayweather a hell of a fight and I believe Maidana can do what Cotto tried to do far better. Mayweather has had some gray spots against non stop pressure fighters. I'm calling Maidana for the upset. It's all favoritism though. I've been rooting for Maidana for years now and I'm not about to stop now after that amazing beatdown he gave gayyy-b.

Who ever thinks mayweather is going to have a walk in the park in this fight has got another thing coming. Mayweather will be in a fight. I have no doubt.

Mayweather did not jab a lot in that fight, and was getting hit by Cotto's jab more than else.

As said, I hope to see a good competive fight, but in my opinion what we are going to get is Maidana chasing Floyd around the ring, getting countered and getting frustated.
Maidana won't throw anything close to 1000 punches imo, I'll be suprised if he throws more than 500-600 punches.

No, it's because every Floyd fight, we get deluded people that come out of the woodwork and talk about what boxer __________ is going to do to Floyd, yet over and over, it never materializes. We hear the same reasons why boxer _______ is going to win against Floyd then after the fight, we hear why boxer __________ got chin checked all night. Garcia made Maidana a better fighter? Cool, Floyd is a better fighter from four fights ago as well. Senior is a better trainer than Garcia. Marcos, for some ****** reason, is underestimating Floyd's strength so sadly to your assertion that someone doesn't know much, Floyd spars, regularly, with people that are bigger than Marcos and every last one of them says, if you think that you are just going to overpower Floyd, you are sadly mistaken. That's Maidana's gameplan, just bumrush Floyd from awkward angles. Once Floyd brings the fight to him, what is Marcos going to do then? Outbox one of the greatest boxers ever? No, it's a dream, no more, no less. Floyd is going to take the fight to him, round one. This fight is a decent fight for what it is, a deserving opponent from past achievement that has no idea what is in store for him on May 3. Broner is not, has not, or will be, anything like Floyd Mayweather because he gets in the ring with the truth then and it's not going to be pretty for the Maidana camp.

The deluded ones are the ones blinded by Floyd's successes that dont realize he's not a god. He can lose. Its like idol worship.. you and your golden calf. People that inhabit the mountain top only have that much farther to fall. No one is invincible.

That aside, Floyd is no spring chicken.. I would refute that he is better than he was 4 years ago. With each passing year, his body deteriorates a little more. Thats life. Maidana, meanwhile, is in his physical prime. And Maidana has certain kinks in his offense, qualities in his fight ethic, and other intangibles I havent seen Floyd face in a long time, if ever. You wont find a post of me touting any other current fighter against Floyd.

Somewhere in that claptrap you asked what Marcos will do when Floyd takes the fight to him. Outbox him? No. He must OUTFIGHT him. Something he has built a career doing.
