If Martinez retires, the middleweight division will become a free for all with no clear champion. You'll have HBO claiming it is Golovkin, Showtime claiming it is Quillin, and German TV claiming it is Sturm. The days of there being a true middleweight champion could be over for quite a while soon.

Who the heck is Domenico Spada?
This guy Domenico Spada has got a lot of nerve and **** for brains to say Miguel Cotto is a nobody, and rude. First of all, I am sure this azzh*le never met Miguel Cotto personally to assert such an accusation against Cotto's character. So what is he basing his opinion on? Here say, or just plain ******ity? Secondly, what rock did he crawl out from under cause I frequent several boxing websites and follow boxing regularly, and never heard of him. If there is someone in this conversation who is a nobody, it's HIM. Talking **** will not get him a fight with any of the contenders. He better keep delivering pizza, while he waits his turn for a money fight. He has as much chance of that happening as a snowball in hell!

Miguel Cotto is a good boxer but he also has an enormous ego. He likes to refer to himself on third person. Whenever he loses he just flees the ring without granting interviews. He assured many that he would never give "criminal" Margo a chance of making a dime using his name (via a rematch) but at the end he showed how weak were his supposed ethics. This isn't the first time that fellow boxers have accused him of being so arrogant or fatuous. It is really a pity that some humans are so vain because real great people have taught us that humility made them even greater.

I think it's generally been assumed that Rubio will beat Spada. Rubio has fought better competition. He's a harder puncher. And he's actually top 10.
