Brähmer vs Maccarinelli. RBR and discussion. Also Pulev, Zeuge.

Later tonight german Jürgen Brähmer defends his WBA LHW belt against former cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli from Wales.

The Sauerland card takes place in Rostock situated on the german Baltic coast.

No.1 ranked HW contender Kubrat Pulev from Bulgaria takes on late sub Ivica Perkovic from Croatia. Perkovic is a sub for Danny Hughes, who subbed for Joey Dawejko who subbed for Elijah McCall.

A little twist around the Brahmer-Macca fight is the choice of gloves.

Standard procedure is that the champion selects the padding/hardness of the gloves, but for this fight it is the welshman who has decided. He has settled on some hard gloves from a US manufacturer. It was a concession made by Brahmer promotor Sauerland in order to get the welsh star over to the continent.

Whether it is to the fragile, hardpunching welshmans advantage remains to be seen.

Round 1: enzo is clearly much taller but looks like skeletor, he's jabbing he's jabbing he's jabbing and braehmer his him with a titanic left hook. enzo is convulsing on the canvas like an infantile ****** but somehow beats the count. brahmer rushes in to finish but whats this the bell rings 2 minutes early and saves enzo. what the hell enzo's own promoter rang the bell! shenanigans has been declared and the fight is a no contest.

Culcay was a standout AM. As a pro he seems a bit undersized.
