Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner's Trainer Says Return To 147 Will Happen

Former three division champion Adrien Broner (27-1, 22KOs) is very focused in camp for his upcoming junior welterweight debut on May 3rd, against Carlos Molina. The match will be part of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Marcos Maidana Showtime Pay-Per-View from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Broner is looking to rebound after suffering his first career defeat, by way of twelve round decision, to Maidana last December at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Maidana says he has power and you say he doesn't. Who shall I believe?

unlike broner, chino praises his opponents, he doesn't belittle them, so is understandable that he was gonna say something like that. but he was only hurt in the fight with that punch after the bell in the end of the 11º and he was still stuned in the 12º. other than that, broner never really hurt marcos

I agree, he's not a heavy hitter at 147. I think he has just enough pop to keep some 147 lb er's honest. I think he still beats Danny for some reason. He beats Khan, Alexander, Brook and more. I don't believe he can beat Manny, Floyd, Porter, Keith, Maidana (rematch), Bradley. Marquez, I have a pick em. Just my opinion.

Yep, Maidana was just being a sportsman/trying to look like he's above Broner's level.

Broner fought like a chump no matter how you spin it. Not just athletically but he had no fight in him, he spent more time giving the ref sad puppy eyes than effectively countering anything.

That's what happens when Khan scares the *** out of Broner and team. Runs him off to 140.
