wtf!!!!
when the round started and I saw the referee taking them apart to give stevens room, I told my wife that the referee was trying to help stevens land a punch so he could stop the fightComment

Damn great fight, stoppage was slightly premature though Johnson should have been given a chance he was soo game! But cong**** to Stevens for weathering that storm and still having the power to hurt Johnson in the 10th.Comment

I'm surprised anyone would have picked Johnson to win.....seeing tapes on him he came forward which was perfect for Stevens to eventually nail and he did. George Foreman would have shook his head saying you don't follow a puncher and trade with them. The first 10 seconds I said to myself "Yep, he is going to get knocked out sometime between 1-10". I never had any doubt, even going into the 10th.Last edited by richardt; 04-04-2014, 10:07 PM.Comment

Not sure about the stoppage.
I am a pretty big Stevens fan, but he was getting his ass kicked up until that point except for some brief moments of success. The shot that Tureano took was tremendously brutal and if you pay attention you can tell he doesn't react after one full second after the stoppage, he was obviously badly hurt. Still a bad stoppage , and Stevens got lucky with the shot.Comment

Johnson got robbed, jobbed, whatever. That wasn't right. 30 sec. left, on his feet, hands up, still moving (Stevens was missing a lot), he leans on the ropes and the ref stops the fight. Give a guy a chance, he was winning, he wasn't massively hurt, or taking a beating. Stevens never hit him solid again on the ropes, Johnson was still moving, aware, guard up.Comment

That's kinda how I felt. One punch too soon rather than one punch too late.Comment
