Comments Thread For: Frampton Ready For Santa Cruz: If I Land Right, It's Over

Carl Frampton is now turning his attention to a blockbuster showdown with Mexican superstar Leo Santa Cruz. The Belfast bulldog blew out hardened Mexican Hugo Cazares in the second round of their WBC super bantamweight final eliminator from the sold out Odyssey Arena in Belfast.

The 27-year-old Frampton, however, is confident in his punching prowess, having stopped 13 of his 18 opponents, and is sure that he can blow any of them away, starting with Cazares.

Hopefully Frampton isn't falling in love with his power too much.

Great fight. I like Frampton's skills and he has fight ending power. I think it's a 50/50 fight.

Hear Hear. I always get worried as soon as he's finished fighting, he always seems to get a bit carried away with himself, understandably enough. By the time he's halfway through his next camp and the adrenaline's died down though, he's back to being humble. Usually.

I'm sure he'll consider Rigo after a couple of defenses. Be nice to hold on to the title for a wee while =]

Why shouldn't he? Explain yourself. He has every right to be talking about Santa Cruz, and I'm sure he'll be willing to fight Rigondeaux when the time is right, when he feels he's ready.
