Two of my favorite fighters but Canelo wins by early KO. Canelo is a big 154 pounder and Maidana could still make 140. Maidana comes at his opponents very hard and he is not hard to hit. Regardless of what Mosley said about Canelo's power being about the same as Floyd's, Canelo is a big puncher and he has fast, accurate combinations. Angulo can take that power for 9 rounds and maybe 12 rounds but Maidana can't take that kind of power very long. If Maidana is weak to the body as some on here say, there is no better body puncher around than Canelo. Canelo has never been down and only hurt once when he was a teenager. Maidana won't score a knock out or a knock down. it's a terrible style match up for Maidana.

Floyd outfoxed Canelo in that fight. Canelo Maidana is a different clash. A clash of attrition. Just because Floyd beat Canelo that doesnt mean Floyd is as strong as or stronger than Canelo. Or can do more damage when landing consistently flush. Thats a newjack way of thinking.

and yes.. I like the floyd maidana fight. Brutality vs mentality.. lots of exposure..the worst that can happen is soundly getting outboxed. The best is that he shocks the world.

Canelo wins because of natural size right now, but it's not a fair matchup because of that, unless Maidana can fight comfortably that high, but in a p4p scenario I take Maidana 10/10.

Canelo is not a big puncher. What is it going to take for you guys to figure that out? He's beein unable to hurt smaller guys on multiple occasions.

Styles make fights though, and Maidana would probably have a hard time doing anything against Canelo, especially at that weight.

It would be interesting though P4P speaking. Even I Maidana did for some reason decided to move up, I think he'd surprise people. Maidana isn't Angulo.
