In the special feature attraction, Shane D. Mosley Jr., the son of Three-Weight World Champion and former pound-for-pound great "Sugar" Shane Mosley, will make his professional boxing debut. The younger Mosley, who got a late start in boxing at the age of 16, will have his legendary father in his corner as trainer for his much-anticipated first bout as a professional. I hate when boxing pundits say this. ****in' 16 is a late start? How early does a person have to start boxing for it to be the right age? 2, 4, 8, 10??

I really just depends on how much effort the person puts in. Guys like Oscar, Roy Jones, and Mayweather all had gloves on their hands before they were 10.
Sugar Ray Leonard, unless I'm mistaking didn't start boxing until he was 13, Sergio Martinez until he was about 19, Chavez Sr, I think until he was 16, so it really depends.

16 is a late start for a professional boxer, bro. Anything past 12, really, is a late start. Most pros start well before the age of 10.

They should put him in with Salvador Sanchez III. Been too long since that guy was on tv.

I'm not saying he is or he isn't but I'm pretty sure having seen his father in his prime has something to do with their opinion.
