More Thurman nuthuggery. Thurman has leaky defense and throws his shots wide. He also may or may not be chinny.

Porter may look like a "bull" against lesser fighters, but how will he look against stiffer comp? Devon was a step in the right direction but I dont care how good a guy looks if its against a cab driver. What matters is how you look vs a real fighter. Broner is the most recent example of that in a list a mile long and decades old.
It's called having an eye for talent. It's pretty obvious (for me anyway) when a fighter is talented/special even when he's fighting against lesser fighters.

And Broner is a terrible example, he looked garbage even against lesser fighters.

Anyway, you're entitled to judge fighters based on whatever you want, however you want. I've had my say.

Thurman won't beat Porter at WW. Porter is a smart intelligent fighter. Porter beats Paulie. Thurman has fought garbage cans. Put him in there with a true boxer and he'll have trouble. I doubt his chin too. Hasn't been tested enough for me to truly say hes trouble at WW. Porter outboxed Devon Alexander. And Alexander is a great boxer.

Maidanna vs Thurman has me salivating.Great fight.
I was expecting Maidana-Thurman next since they both won on the same card last December, if Paulie does beat Porter, then I'll scratch Porter in my lists, I thought Shawn was having problems making the welterweight limit and may soon moved up.

There is nothing wrong with calling thurman exactly what he is = an up and comer with a crowd pleasing style who has fought medicore opposition and is ready to step up. Why is that such a bad thing?
Zaveck defended the belt 4 times over 2 years before it was taken from him by an unpunished Berto headbutt in a fight most felt he was winning. He beat the champ to win the belt.

These opponents get labelled mediocre because they don't get the opportunity to fight regularly on US television and subsequently don't have a 'name' but they're as good as many of the top 10 from what I've seen.

Thurman will end up beating a Porter or Guerrero and people will say "he's the real deal" when he's arguably already been showing that for some time.

I think Danny can outbox him but at ww it might be different. Maidana fight can go either way but I think Thurman can definatly beat Porter. I'm not too high on that guy.

I scrap out Mayweather and Pacquiao as there's really no way or unimaginative for Thurman to be paired against these two HOF-bound.

My Top 3 in order who has the best chance:

1.Shawn Porter - We have'nt seen the best of Porter yet, but if he beats Paulie and Kell Brook, then Porter could be the man.

2.Marcos Maidana - If only Maidana believes in himself that he could beat Thurman, if the Mayweather fight wasn't made, Maidana fights somebody else other than Thurman.

3.Danny Garcia - The perfect fight plan he did against Matthysse can work against Thurman, Danny could outbox him.

I'd favor Thurman to beat Bradley, Alexander and Matthysse in an entertaining fight, Khan and Broner gets destroyed.

Thurman will KO Porter in less than 5 rounds.Porter will lose to Paulie.

Garcia's so called power comes from punches they don't see coming. Punches like that all have 'power'.

Keith Thurman has the potential to be a poor mans David Haye and nothing more than that.
