In your opinion what are the most anticipated heavyweight fights the past 30 years?

    My top 5:

    1. Mike Tyson vs. Michael Spinks

    2. Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield I

    3. Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield II

    4. Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson

    5. Wladimir Klitschko vs. David Haye

Depends how you define 'biggest'. If you're talking about the size of the arena/attendance, you can scrap that list. If you're referring to significance, again, you can scrap some of those fights.

The latter fight, Wlad-Haye, doesn't belong on any list. Haye wasn't even the the 'true' WBA champion.

      Its easy to critize.

      What is your list

And how was Haye not the true WBA champion?

Countdown for the "Coronation auf Schalke“. This Saturday over 60.000 fans in the Arena auf Schalke and millions of people on RTL will be watching the highly anticipated fight of the heavyweight world champions. Both champions Ruslan Chagaev (WBA) and Wladimir Klitschko (IBF, WBO) met for the first time at the Press Conference in Gelsenkirchen. Universum-Promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl, who flew in with Chagaev and his team to Gelsenkirchen, stated on the podium: "We have applied for a Special Request with the WBA, that Ruslan will be defending his WBA title and it will be a unification bout. The opposition will have time until Wednesday to comment on that case. We will be awaiting a decision by the WBA until than. We haven't heard anything official yet and we are remain calm.

Again, it depends what you're getting at. If you're referring to biggest fights, as in fan attendance, the Klitschkos will feature prominently. For significance and, perhaps, bearing on the division there are plenty of contenders from the 80s and 90s.

I would scrap Evander - Foreman as it was Foreman's first real fight and he was seen as someone Holyfield would probably beat with ease. It didn't turn out that way, but hey.

The other fights are definitely worth the stay on there, but I would take out the foreman fight and add one of the Bowe fights for sure.
