Comments Thread For: Robert Garcia Highly Doubts Pacquiao is The Same Fighter

Boxing trainer Robert Garcia, whose stable includes Thomas Dulorme, Mikey Garcia, Evgeny Gradovich, Marcos Maidana and Brandon Rios, among others, spoke with BoxingScene.com on March 28.

BoxingScene.com: Who do you think wins the rematch between Pacquiao and Bradley?

Garcia: “It’s a pick’em fight. I think this time it’s going to be a lot closer. Timothy Bradley won the first fight — I think Pacquiao won it. I think Pacquiao won it, but this time Bradley’s on a winning streak. Right now Bradley knows that he’s unstoppable. He just beat [Juan Manuel] Marquez and he’s on a winning streak. I think this time’s going to be a lot closer. It’s going to be a fight that I can’t pick the winner right now.” [Click Here To Read More]

Pacquiao is on a physical decline just like every fighter, over the course of time. Sparrings have to be the most brutal toll on the body. Anyways, I don't think pacquiao can get better physically, just smarter in the ring.

I talked to a trainer about his loss to JMM and he pointed out something to me that is very true. You dont' see guys get KO'd face first and recover very often. I think that fight had to take something from Manny, I mean that was one of the most brutal KO's in boxing history and Manny has to be affected by it.

We will see, I think this Bradley fight is something that will test him and if he is going to be aggressive, then he's going to take chances.

he's not, which is the only reason Bradley has any chance

Rios is no bum but Pac making Rios look like one youd think Pac is the same, but he wont be. Taylor wasn't the same after losing to Chavez yet the ref saved him. No one saved Pac, he got ko'ed flat on his face.

But Pac is greater than Meldrick so even Pac not being the same is still too good for most......too good for the Bradleys or Floyds of this world, we will see.

BoxingScene.com: After Pacquiao fought your fighter Brandon Rios

Garcia: I think he looked good. He looked fast. He looked strong. But like you said, it didnt prove much, but this is the fight where he has to do it. Its Timothy Bradley, and he really has to do it.

How lazy are people on this site!

You are just blind or in denial of Pacquiao's decline.

people will always say this. It was said before the rios fight and rios actually landed some but pac took him to school. Now its being said again. It will be said again when he rematches marquez.
