I concur, good sir. Both have chances of knocking each other out but I'm still leaning towards Stevenson when/if they fight.
I feel Stevenson beats Kovalev

unfortunately this encouraging word of yours won't make his balls bigger, I too think stevenson will give kovalev a problem and probably beat him by close decision
and anyone who fought like agnew will make their opponents bad especially those who will come to kill. Stevens=AgnewComment

Doesn't make him any less of a pussy if he would. People fail to realize even if the fighter would beat the guy he blatantly ran away from, does not make him any less of a pussy for running away. If only he was as sure as you are that he could beat the guy we would be watching the fight next.Comment

Kovalev has never been a polished technical fighter. He is essentially a slugger, and, like many sluggers, he is vulnerable to counters. I'm less sure than you are, however, that the style clash works in Stevenson's favour. I strongly suspect Stevenson of being chinny and he doesn't employ the tight high-gaurd defense that Agnew does.
Kovalev is naturally very heavy handed. Unlike Stevenson, he doesn't need to have his feet set to throw powerful punches. I think just about anything Kovalev throws and catches Stevenson clean with would wobble him. Kovalev is a chinny fighter's nightmare.Comment

I think Sevenson would probably win if they meet in the next 18 months or so, though it wouldn't be a sure bet, and I really don't think it would be a decision. Adonis is chinny enough, and Kovalev is there to be hit with that left enough, that I can't see it ending in anything other than a KO.Comment

He might. Which is why it's so ridiculous that he's ducking Kovalev to begin with. Does he really have that little confidence in himself?
Honestly, the only thing I would be sure of going into Stevenson/Kovalev is that somebody is getting knocked out. Both guys would land big, big shots, and one of them would go down from it.Comment

I'm fairly confident Kovalev would beat Hopkins. Mainly because clinching and fouling isn't going to stop Kovalev from landing, and I'm not sure what offense Hopkins can offer to keep Kovalev away. I wouldn't expect him to handle someone that dangerous anymore.Comment

If kovalev can avoid the early rounds of getting caught by stevenson's pull counter left jab while in that process systematically break him down then I can see him winning. I'm just wondering how kovalev would respond if he gets caught by stevenson's jab because it's viscous.Comment

Kovalev's is just as bad, same guy that KTFO of Stevenson nearly did the same to Kovalev. Kovalev has also been KO'd in the AM's and has still shown he does not like to get hit.
Kovalev fights soft stationary guys with no movement or power for a reason, Agnew, Cleverly, Sillakh, Campillo etc. if you go back and watch their fights you'll see every single one of them allowing Kovalev to simply tee off on them while they stand there, it's no coincidence.
A guy like Stevenson loves to counter, has great lateral movement, great power as well, all wrong for Kovalev.Comment

Oh, it's a duck beyond all doubt, but I think it's less the confidence and more the clock. He's called out B-Hop (who has history in Montreal, and is more beatable by Adonis than by Kovo**) and Froch (who would be insane to get in the ring with either Kovo or Adonis), and Pascal and Bute are floating around. If Adonis does get KOed by Kovalev it throws all of that money up in the air and the guy is 36. Montreal / Quebec has it's own promoters / managers who still seem to be able to straddle HBO and Sho better than a lot of other outfits.
I think the trash talking will continue, and Adonis will pick up some of the above, and then the Kovalev fight will happen. Unless management, promoters, and lawyers actually make it impossible for the fight to happen. Which would be sad.
** I actually think Kovalev runs a risk of being matadored to death in one of the most awful fights to watch ever by B-Hop. I think it's more likely that Kovalev will catch up with the old guy, but I just think Adonis would handle that fight better.Comment
