  • Video: Adonis really scared of death about fighting Kovalev

In an interview (just after the Canelo-Angulo fight), Adonis Stevenson was asked about signing with Al Haymon and about his future fights...
When directly asked about fighting Kovalev, Adonis (who's not a great English speaker) said something about fighting for the "right money"...
A guy near Adonis (the one with the Calvin Klein T-Shirt) immediately began to elaborate in proper English (at 4:00 on the video): "… You step on the ring… the chances that you take… the health, you know… your life is on the line… so we just want to be compensated, you know…"

You may look at Adonis face at that particular moment of the interview, hereunder:

... Or you may watch the entire interview here:

... If the guy isn't actually scared about fighting Kovalev , please tell me that this is not reality that you are looking to...

If he has a clown like him with him no wonder he is making all these bad decisions .

I've never seen a fighter being interviewed and a guy in his entourage is interrupting him trying to talk more than the fighter.

Adonis speaks broken English -- that dude act as a translator or some sort...
Though, Adonis didn't contradict him on the "putting the life on the line" statement...

(Al Haymon crossed the image earlier in the video, but he didn't find time to "help" his new protege...)

I would not compare Adonis to Floyd not even in my worst nightmares...

"It's pathetically transparent what Adonis is doing - "call Al" to try and get as much money as possible because he knows he doesn't have long left. Good for him but HBO doesn't work with Al, everyone knows it, it'll most likely backfire."

Yes... Low blows don't count until they actually break balls. The same goes for "unintentional headbutts" (as in the Kessler fight).

                    Few believers nowadays...
