Oquendo has some good skills, he was unlucky in all of his 3 losses, he could have won them all. i remember his post fight interview after the Tua fight, he seemed like a really nice humble guy. -
Oquendo is a decent fighter but he is too average overall to actually be any thing other than a contender. Average everything, power, speed, chin etc... Not special.Comment

i always liked ol squinty eyes myself. he exposed etienne and was robbed against chris byrd. he was beating tua till he got caught. people are criticizing him for having a boring fight against john ruiz come on that's not even fair. the only real exciting fight i remember ruiz being in was him against tua hahahahaha.Comment

He has a style that just doen't make for entertaining fights, nor does he possess the skills that make you say "damn, he's good"- those skills can make you watchable.

i personally find him entertaining minus the ruiz fight although i was still watching the entire time hopeful for the end of the quiet man.
but i found a lot of matches entertaining that the public called boring like toney vs guinn and judah vs corley.Comment
