Does Boxing need to add another Weight Class ? I say YES!

Let's be realistic about the objective "Truth" here, Boxing needs to add at least 1 more weight class above the 200 pound "Heavyweight Division"......

The way I see it most Weight Divisions were designed for the population, as it existed, a hundred years ago..... The world we live in today is much Bigger, Stronger and Faster..... (Smarter and more skilled is up for debate.) I'd like to see our weight divisions reflect that reality.....

Putting tradition aside, we could actually stand to lose a lower weight division or more.... The gereral male population has far more 200 pound + guys and fewer just over 100 pound guys than it did a hundred years ago..... Watching these boxers in the lowest divisions is entertaining, but I don't see to many guys walking around at under 120 pounds..... Those that weight absolutely deserve representation, but so do the 200 to 225 pound guys....

I'd like to see a 210 pound and perhaps a 220 pound division or one 215 pound division.... There are more than enough boxers out there to fill that division(s)..... It's hard to watch highly skilled boxers a little over 200 pounds fight 250 pound + fighters and lose not due to skill, but rather size......

We need at least one more division over 200 pounds (Middle Heavyweight perhaps?).....
    What do you think ?????

A division in between cruiser and light-heavy would be better.

I agree that there are many "Fat" heavyweights, but there always was, it's nothing new...

If you lose a division at the bottom and add a 210 or 215 pound division then the number of divisions will remain the same..... Losing more than one lighter division might make sense also......

Bottom line, many more guys weigh 200+ then a hundred years ago..... Many less under 120 pounds guys around then a hundred years ago.... Our population is much bigger, Stronger and faster then it was when all these divisions were first created.... What do you think the world will look like a hundred years from now???? It's just a matter of time, its inevitable....

The world is different now, the divisions should reflect that.......

                NO, no and NO.

The Heavyweight Title is where it stops. It's a historic Title.

You don't add another division above Heavyweight. That's affirmative action for Lazy welfare bum

No, they need to remove a few of the lower divisions, ideally they should only have 8-12 divisions... It's pretty ridiculous that there are 12 divisions below middleweight and only 4 above it.

Hell no. There isn't a single heavyweight in the world that is winning because of some unfair size advantage. It's not like there's a bunch of 200 pound guys losing to 300 pound monsters. Most of the best heavyweights outside Wlad are the same size heavyweights have been for decades.

Besides, cruiserweight was invented relatively recently to give 190 pound guys a division to fight in.
