    This I understand...
Imo Yvon Michel is full of it, he's under pressure from the boxing public for facilitating a duck and is probably throwing the possibility out there to get people back onside.

No, but he needs Kovalev in order for the boxing public to acknowledge him as the best.

GYM, InterBox, Haymon, Showtime could spin Adonis, Pascal, Bute, (B-Hop), Dawson, and Cloud for some time... (Ward may join the party)...

Just like Golovkin could fight Ward at 168 in order to be acknowledged as the best, but he's fighting Chavez Jr instead.

I'm used to the business aspect of boxing by now and just go along with it.

Golovkin is to be the best at 160, not 168, he's almost certain to move back down. Ward didn't want to fight him anyway, he wanted Chavez himself but got caught up bickering with his promoter over a contract he signed.

Translation: "I'm used to seeing the fighters I support avoid the most dangerous opponents so it hurts less to just give them a pass than to call them out on it".

            Golovkin can't beat Ward.

Competition is natural. I only dislike dishonest practices in any field.

If he is going to fight at 168 anyway why not challenge himself against the best? Instead he prefers to go after the money.

But I can't really blame him for that. This is a business first and foremost, the fighters should absolutely try to maximize their earnings.

Then I expect Kovalev to make an appearance at Stevenson's next fight in Canada.

                    Haunt him...
