inb4 Jurgen Brahmer, smart business decision by Adonis, HBO hypejob, etc etc etc
There's a guy named Yoan Pablo Hernandez a division north that I'm sure won't "run away" if Kovalev wants it. Just like I say about GGG, Lara, and Thurman, who supposedly nobody wants to fight. If you're not a heavyweight, you have options.

Kovalev is growing on me. If he beats Hopkins, I'm switching my Avatar picture shrine to Pro-Kovalev.

          "Supposedly"

          Stopped reading there....

I was gonna give you a serious reply, but come man... You have no idea if Yoan would even take that fight or if he even knows who Kovalev is wtf, you just want Kovalev to lose. Lol

It could be worse. at least Agnew is an undefeated fresh face who is clearly hungry and on the big stage for the first time, this is who fresh talent gets discovered and bursts onto the scene.

And this fight was made with The thought that Kovalev-Stevenson was happening next. It coulda been a well known journeyman,.... This is as dangerous as a "showcase/tuneup" fight as you can possibly have.

No high risk/low reward in Kovalevs camp

There is a small chance that Kovalev might under-perform tonight.

He always has that extra paper in his step when it's a colored fighter that he is facing.

Either way, if he does KO Agnew, he needs to a celebratory walk-over his corpse.

With all the d1ckridin' of this cat. I'm simply holding him to the same standards that all the great light heavyweights before him were held to. Pretty much all of them tested the heavyweight waters. Kovalev can do the same. I'm simply huntin' opponents for the guy. If I simply "wanted him to lose." I'd be beating the drum for him to jump up and fight wladimir, which I'm not. Because Wlad would knock this guy's ass off inside about three rounds.

He's had 21 fights. Even if he could, there's absolutely no reason to move up when you could fight for and potentially win the lineal title in your true division , and not to mention that the lineal champ in the division underneath you could possibly move up.

You unify titles and then move up if you do, not the other way around

I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Agnew won. The only thing that can surprise me is if I wake up with the right side of my face crazy-glued to the carpet with nude midget women dancing on my back.

You read all those names, you didn't see them. I saw Archie Moore as a Light heavy, he had like 150 KOs and Bob foster? Heavyweights took it out of him, but he was deadly at light heavy. Roy Jones? Maybe you saw him, but when he was young, nobody else could see him, blazing speed. Kovalev has a long way to go before he makes any history, or do you think Agnew will be historic?
