  • Comments Thread For: Manager: World Will Know Agnew By Saturday Night

NEW YORK — A calm, confident Cedric Agnew has hidden any signs of feeling disrespected throughout the promotion of his fight against heavily favored Sergey Kovalev on Saturday night in Atlantic City.

His manager, Bill Benton, clearly is offended because their 12-round fight for Kovalev’s WBO light heavyweight title has been portrayed as a complete mismatch. Anyone, Benton claims, that thinks Agnew is in over his head against the undefeated, heavy-handed Kovalev is sorely mistaken.

I found one fight of Agnew on youtube just to see if theres any chance he might pull an upset.

To be honest he just doesnt look very good. Pretty stationary Kovalev KO most likely.

Kovalev is a wreckin' machine. He kills people in the ring. No light heavyweight in history has a chance again him. Matter of fact, he'd beat Ezzard Charles, Bob Foster, Michael Spinks, and Roy Jones in a handicap match. I'm terrified about what may happen to this kid tonight:wank:

Who else was he supposed to fight? You know, since he's been chasing the "lineal champion" since last August.... and literally made him run away.....

inb4 Jurgen Brahmer, smart business decision by Adonis, HBO hypejob, etc etc etc

I'm not blaming Kovalev. Just giving my opinion that this will be totally one sided.
