In the opening semi-final, 23-year old Fernando Carcamo (17-5, 13 KO), 135 ¾, of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, went to seven consecutive wins but went the distance for the first time in the streak, still scoring a knockdown in earning a majority eight-round decision over 28-year old Miguel Angel Gonzalez (23-4, 16 KO), 136, of Cleveland, Ohio. I had carcamo winning 77-74,i dont c how that judge had it 77-75??unless he scored an even round which has no place in boxing, you have to give an extra point for the knockdown...and i gave gonzales 3 rounds and still had carcamo winning by 3 rounds.

Petrov is going to own the slower plodding Carcamo. He will beat him to the punch and stop him late.

Carcamo is at an energy deficit. He lays in too much, Petrov is busy. Rudd tried to fight lazy, but to his credit, when he saw that wasn't working, he went Kamakazi. It wasn't pretty, it was BEAUTIFUL. He went out on his shield. Bravo! The left that Gonzalez ate was amazing, he kept going, but he played it safe and smothered the action.
