Even though he is doing good, Hopkins is playing with fire at this age. I do respect what he's accomplishing though but it could all go sour at any moment now. And when I say sour, I'm talking about his well being.

Juanma Lopez. As big of a Juanma fan that I am and regardless of the result of his last fight, he just doesn't have enough left to defend himself as far as boxing resources are concerned. His reflexes and balance are off, he took some serious damage in the Salido wars and lost more of himself than he would like to admit. He is facing serious risk of taking some severe damage.

Ponce De Leon... much like Juanma, he has lost punch resistance and is now losing fights by KO. Taking unnecesary risks and damage at this point.

Seth Mitchell... Not shot by any means but you can't be part of such a dangerous weight class with a glass chin. He is in a good position now to preserve his health and walk out of this safely.

    Erik Morales... enough said.

Angulo. I love El Perro but at this point is either retire or keep taking unnecesary punishment. He is as vulnerable as a fighter could be and has taken enough damage already. I love a warrior like Angulo but once the warrior has been in too many wars, it's time to hang up the armory and weaponry.

I doubt Haymon has much control over Floyd's personal spending habits. It's very possible that the long term plan is to make a GBP style company with Floyd in Oscar's place alright. They might even get Schaefer to run it with the way things are looking at Golden Boy.

It's not just the money though. It's the adulation and being the centre of attention as well. It's not easy to let go of that. Even Oscar who had all the money he would ever need had to get his face nearly beaten off by Manny before he got the message.
