Again, sugarcoating it and he really should not. Nothing to be ashamed about.
Here's what he should say: "It's simple. I am not trying to unnecesarily put myself in a dangerous fight right before a title shot bout. It would be ****** for me to take on a monster like Provodnikov and then head towards a fight with Pacquiao or Bradley. And what are you guys complaining about? I could have easily called Likar Ramos back and made the tune up more obvious but I still chose a tough fighter in Alvarado. And what about my feelings?"
As long as he does fight the winner of Pac-Bradley no one can say too much about this one.Comment

Why does he even deserve another title shot??? Bradley schooled him! So beating Alvarado at a CW, not even at full ww gets him another title shot??? While the guy who just trashed Alvardo is calling him out. Sorry JMM, you're ducking and that's that. Fans can give him a pass but let it be written in history that JMM ducked Provodnikov. Nacho and JMM understand that deep inside too.Comment

Ofcourse they can! JMM got schooled by Tim. He doesn't deserve another title shot. And if he wants to make a case for himself, beat the guy (Ruslan) that put the biggest beating on the guy (Tim) who just schooled u. Not Alvarado!Comment

IMHO, he made a mistake choosing Alvarado because that brought Provo into the conversation. Had he chosen another journeyman type fighter, I think people wouldn't have critized him at all due to the circumstances.
The ducking has overshadowed the decent selection of opposition. Alvarado will not be easy and Marquez is screwed because he won't get much credit.Comment

I don't know why you guys think Provodnikov is unbeatable? I mean Herrera beat him and I think Marquez boxes circles around him.
Marquez knocks Manny Pacquaio clean out, and he doesn't have a chance vs Provodnikov? LOL
I love the ******ity in this place. The man has said way before, he wants to win his 5th title. It makes perfect sense and at this point in his career, he's going for legacy.Comment
