Ggg's KO steak ends with Chavez Jr

Lets face it GGG will have no hope of knocking out the gargantuous Mexican monster Chavez when he has to move up 8 pounds. Chavez will be the much larger man, who has already felt what GGG dishes out in sparring. This is somewhat of a nightmare match up for GGG as he will be in with an opponent who can eat his heavy artillery like candy. He is still the more skillful fighter but will have to keep the legendary chinned chavez at bay over 12 rounds. Martinez was barely able to hold off this sensational locomotive , coming within an inch of losing his life in round 12 and suffering long term effects that have turned him into a mere shell of his former self. GGG's chin and stamina will be tested like never before against a rival the likes of which he has never seen before.

This matchup is definitely one to watch - If Chavez comes in shape and ready to fight, then GGG will have one hell of a time staying in there.

If GGG can knock out Chavez Jr then he has earned the reputation of being a "killer" and a true destroyer. Then. Sad nowadays people are so eager to put the cart before the horse.

I think GGG gets the stoppage. I notice that Jr. jumps straight back at times if you jab him. A Nicely placed right after the jab could make Jr. feel what Ishida had to feel. A few straight rights like that could drop Jr.

GGG has a better chance of KO'ing him with a bodyshot than a dome shot. And heres a scary thought GGG might be even stronger at 168

Tough fight for both guys IMO. I find it hard to imagine Jr woulda taken it if he thought he was overmatched, and the sparring session was in late 2010 when Jr was still relatively young both for his body and in terms of experience at the higher levels.

I firmly expect that Golovkin outboxes Jr, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it goes the distance. To date, even during the Maravilla beatdown Jr hasn't looked close to being stopped. If Golovkin does stop him I'd expect it to be a late TKO by accumulation and I'll be impressed

I agree kinda... Ggg is already a killer at mw with beat downs of rosado macklin Stevens, not great fighters but ranked guys..

But stopping Chavez will put him in the same category as this eras Duran, Tyson, hearns,, thee puncher of his era

                Jr's face after Vera II.

                Now imagine it after GGG

If GGG is half of what people say he is, the only question about this fight is whether he will KO Chavez or win on points.

GGG hurts, drops and stops Chavez by focusing on the body.
