Floyd could have been an ok/semi good fighter if...

Floyd is the best active boxer in the sport, a c-hair above Rigo. He is a great fighter, skill wise, great in historic context, that has yet to be determined, but ever since he was crowned p4p king, he doesn't duck because it's not his role to hunt fights, it's his role to be challenged.
The only fights I truly believe he ducked are the Oscar rematch which he would have lost, and Margarito, which, on paper he should beat, but Margarito was a monster and would have given him major problems.
I know this is a troll effort, and a weak one, but sometimes you just have to drop some knowledge on these cats and wash away some of that boxing ignorance.Comment

He didn't take the rematch because Oscar was going to make more money than him. Floyd felt since he won the first fight he should have been paid more, however Oscar was still the bigger star.Floyd is the best active boxer in the sport, a c-hair above Rigo. And there's no way Oscar could have won the rematch because that fight was going to take place at 147 (NOT 154 like the first fight) where Oscar would have been weight drained and a year older. I think Floyd would have won the second fight much more clearly than he won the first.
PS the OP is an obvious troll.Comment

Floyd would have killed oscar in the rematch because it was suppose to be at 147,, can you imagine floyd vs the oscar that manny fought,,, he would have gatti'd himFloyd is the best active boxer in the sport, a c-hair above Rigo. Floyd Mayweather holds the record for the two largest selling and highest grossing PPV events in history. In 2013, he made approximately $140 million in the ring. That is more than the next 10 highest paid fighters (including your god, Pacquaio) combined made in 2013.
If he is your definition of a mediocre fighter, I would rather be a mediocre fighter like Mayweather than your definition of a great or ok/semi good fighter as you put it.Comment

Margarito lost to Daniel Santos, got schooled by Paul Williams and got the sh.t beat out of him by Mosley before Mosley KO'd him. And you actually think this guy would give Mayweather problems?
As for Oscar, forcing Mayweather to fight at the 154 pound limit and picking out Mayweather's gloves didn't help him beat Mayweather. The only way Oscar would have won the rematch is if he forced Mayweather to fight at 160 and forced him to wear 20 ounce gloves.Comment
