I doubt Broner could become a unified champ at 140.

Ah triangle theories...good luck with that logic

I think Khan has already gone further than Broner will, unless Broner can cut the nonsense, become a true gym rat, and get down a weight class for a couple of years. With that being said, I'm pretty sure Khan has gone as far as he's going to go and that he's flirting with going 'Full Ortiz' now.

So neither will go further than Khan has already gone, though each may wrangle up another decent payday or two.

Although Broner made that weight class jump and picked up a title, he probably still has another year and half to get where Khan has already been. Khan has been down on his luck multiple times. So for whatever you think of him, he has a lot of experience at 27....i think he still has another level he can get to, but nothing can go wrong from here, this is it......it just seems that it's been like a waiting game for him to finally get to WW, settle there, and then hopefully come into this own. So he's made it to WW and is still relevant to the public, so it's not all that bad for him with still 3 yrs until he's 30.

Broner could have a tough rough back - there are now a couple of ways guys will be looking to fight him. Until he improves and gets more experience..he is going to have an issue mitigating distance, transitioning from D to O, etc. against good fighters at welter. He simply doesn't have the wirey frame of a lot of WW's...it will not allow him to take shortcuts and disregard areas people have been telling him about. Maidana whopped his azz, but he showed himself to be tough.

There is still a lot to work with - I'd just say lets not do the whole disrespect the history of boxing by making unprecedented leaps of faith by jumping weight classes and fighting huge and experienced punchers thing again. He'll be prob end up ok..make some noise at LW and see what he can be when he's not out getting plastered every weekend. Leave that part to me

It not a triangle theory, its common opponents,,

Triangle theories prove nothing, but common opponents give a greater indication who is better because there is more a sample pool, they aren't 100% accurate but a lot better than triangle theory

Do you know what a triangle theory is? I wasn't arguing whether Khan would beat Broner or not. I think he would but for different reasons.

I was looking at their common opponents to gauge how far they'd go. Broner has struggled and lost to the same opponents that Khan was beating at the same age.
