SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico —UFC® president Dana White announced today in Puerto Rico the organization’s expansion plans for the island, noting Puerto Rico’s rich history in combat sports. The expansion includes the appointment of local sports entrepreneur Peter Rivera, who owns boxing promotional firm Puerto Rico Best Boxing, as the UFC’s representative in the region. Rivera will be responsible for the commercial management of the UFC brand and the coordination of all details relating to Pay-Per-View sales, tryouts, seminars and special presentations of UFC fighters on the island.

The "Rivera" Bros.(Ivan & Peter-P.R.Best Boxing) are shady & there are strong rumors they pocket a LOT of $$$$ that should go to the fighters they promote & that's one of reason's Cotto broke ties with them years ago & most of their fighters usually start off good & end really bad(economically & career wise) & they are horrible negotiators. I have no idea how Dana White ended up working with them.

Whites in it for the money as much as any promoter in the history of boxing. He's a complete crook and doing it legally, while at the same time almost every one feeds into it. The guy pays, from what I heard as low as 5% of the revenue, to a possible 12 or 15%. There is no other sport/franchise/whatever that pays that low.

Dana White is worth 10 times more then his whole roster combined.

Sounds like exactly the type characters Dana would want to work with. The Fertittas have former mafia ties and Dana himself was run out of Boston by Whitey Bulger.

Damn, I remember watching Anthony Pettis in MTV's World Of Jenks struggling when he was literally unknown and just another hopeful average joe trying to make it. Look at him now though.
