Do you SubScribe To HBO, Showtime, or Both? Will You Switch or Drop HBO Soon?

This isn't a network vs network thing. I don't care what channel boxing is on as long as it is on. I have HBO and Showtime.

However, HBO doesn't appear as committed as they have since, well, they got into the boxing game. Their budget has continually dropped since the early 2000's and this year alone they have lost fights because they were unwilling to pay for in Froch vs Groves, Areolla vs Stiverne, Stevenson vs Fonfara, and that likely makes Stevenson a Showtime fighter for good.

At some point you have to ask yourself, is the $10,$15, $20, sometimes $25 you have to pay for an HBO subscription (dependent on discounts, cable providers, etc) worth it to see 1 fight a month. and a possibly continually dwindling boxing selection.

So out of interest, I ask you if you would potentially drop HBO at some point if their boxing schedule and roster continues to dwindle?

***Let's not take into account the great shows on HBO, I want this to b how you feel about their boxing lineup.

I can tell that these clowns are not even subscribers of any of these networks. HBO's subscribers subscribe not because of boxing. Boxing is just a bonus to their subscribers. Showtime is different. I'm a Showtime subscriber. I can tell you that fights are extremely rare. You're better off streaming fights.

And let's set things straight. PPVs have nothing to do with subscribers. Subscribers don't benefit from them. In fact, PPV's can be carried by any network. Fox Sports can even do them better.

"They have a guy [Stephen Espinoza] in charge of Showtime Sports, he signed Mayweather; if you're a subscriber for Showtime, what the hell difference does it mean to you? Mayweather isn't on Showtime, he's on pay-per-view. If you have a subscription, you can't see a Mayweather fight on Showtime. It's ridiculous." - BA

I don't know what you are on about, but I have consistently made fun of people who have network fueds. This is simply something I wanted info on how people perceive each network right now.

            I know how PPV works.

Oh, sorry, I didn't read after the asterisk. I will stick to HBO, they're more about broadcasting the fights I want to see. Showtime literally is trying to do what HBO used to be about - selling hype, and they just aren't as good at it. Showtime is actually pretty cringeworthy. I wish my boy LSC would escape and come do some business over at HBO.

I have had both networks since January of 2012, and the only reason i got them was strictly for boxing. I dont care about any of their shows, dont watch any of them. HBO has the better movies, but for the purpose of why i got the channels, easily Shotime has put on the better quality of boxing. I get so tired of HBO and their 1 and 2 fight cards, while Shotime will give you a 3-4 fight card, with some fights that could be shown if there are early knockouts. We get the pleasure of seeing rising fighters, and prospects on Shotime. HBO is about hyping up certain fighters.
