What do you really expect Stevenson to do? He's probably got Haymon in his ear telling him there's more out there, which there is. How do you say no to someone as accomplished as Haymon? We'd all take the money so all this acting hollier than tho is getting tiresome. HBO is the one that chose to severe their relationship with Haymon and Golden Boy so I can understand Haymons move. He knows HBO is pushing Kovalev and any opportunity to stick it to them he's going to take it. Can't say I wouldn't do the same in his shoes. Business is war.Comment

Herschman being cheap is the problem. He had decided to put on fighters who work for less. Haymon's job is to maximize his fighters salary. Nothing wrong with that. Place blame where it belongs.it's not like Stevenson is gonna get that much more money anyway. How much more is Stevenson gonna get to fight Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins is more of an A side than kovalev. Add to that Stevenson is more well known with hbo subscribers. Also, Hopkins is gonna retire soon so if he fought kovalev they could have had rematches with each other or he could have fought an all Canadian showdown with pascal or against hbo's Andre ward.
Add to this hbo have a bigger budget so they can pay for these matchups.
Kovalev>>>>>>>>>>fonfara. Why couldn't Stevenson wait and fight kovalev or push for neither fighter to have a tune up in between? Just like kathy duva said - quack quack quack.
Also, stevensons and Kovalev's promoters made agreement 2 months ago but someone isn't a man of their word...
Now Stevenson nuthuggers, I'm asking you , was it really a good financial move? We already know it's bad for boxing . I'm a big Hopkins fan but Im a fan of boxing before anything. I wanna see Stevenson vs kovalev fight bhop vs shumenov winner. That's how it should be. Anyone defending any other scenario should go dive face first into a pile of **** for being a terrible boxing fan.
Don't duck my question like Stevenson ducked kovalev
The discussion isn't about fighters income. Stop being childish. It's about the course HBO is taking with its boxing programming. If they choose to give spots to foreign fighters and low skilled brawlers who work for less money while yielding high ratings, I get that. It's a good business move for them. How can you get mad when a fighter makes the same decision?
Time to place blame where it belongs. Yes, Stevenson could work for less. But why should he when HBO won't pay more when they easily could.Comment
