... Well, I was curious (in the recent past) just how the Americans would prevent these Russians from taking over their respective boxing divisions...

Ward will demand the fight be in California with his shady California Boxing Commission officials like Jack Reiss.

He'll probably demand Kovalev weight-drain down to 168.

Ward beat everyone clearly and unequivocally throughout his carreer. Not because the fights were in California. His opponents was not robbed by the judges, Ward simple took them to school. Despite this, he still doesn't get the respect from the GGG/Kovalev fanboys. I think GGG and Kovlev are both entertaining and good fighters, but let's get this straight: Kovalev never beat an opponent like Froch, Kessler or Dawson in his division. That's true in GGG's case too. So I think, from these three guys not Ward is who has to prove his class. He proved it already.
BTW, the most annoying fans in boxing are the all time boogey man fanboys. Like GGG and Kovalev cheerleaders nowadays or the Matthysse fanboys last year. They haven't got serious arguments, they just write things like "GGG/Kovalev will KO Ward" or "Ward will duck GGG/Kovalev" without normal phrasing. For example why anybody think that Ward will duck any of these guys? C'mon, tell me one fighter who has ducked by Ward.
I haven't got problems with these fighters (not my favs, but I appreciate them), but their blinded fanatics are really annoying and boring sometimes.
