So all HBO has to do to get Stevenson-Kovolev is match Showtime's offer

Pretty much. Haymon is playing a smart game extracting the maximum out of the TV companies.Haymon is pushing his fighters towards showtime. If I'm hbo I say f!!! It why overpay for a bs Stevenson fight that doesn't involve kovalev. Let showtime overpay for bs fights. Somebody above espinozas bit!! A$$ will catch wind soon enuff. Al Haymon,Richard shaffer and Stephen Espinoza making the calls in the sport. Damn. Was much better for the fans when don king and arum we're at the throne
It's easy to say HBO should match the offer without knowing exactly how much the offer is.
Likely, certainly one would guess it's way above what an opponent like Fonfara would normally get.
If they match it, Al Haymon has won. He has once again extracted excess money from HBO and he'll do it again for the Kovalev fight.
I don't think they should bend to the guy or they'll always be bending for him reducing the budget for other fights.
Put on Kovalev-Pascal and Provodnikov-Rios. Let Stevenson go get hugged by 'nard if that's what he really wants (and it is, because he's said it enough times).Last edited by Weebler I; 03-25-2014, 06:53 AM.Comment

So if HBO doesn't match Showtime's offer, do they still have the same rights for Stevenson's next fight? I need someone to tell me Stevenson going to Showtime for this fight doesn't kill Stevenson/Kovalev. Please, someone tell me that.Comment
