Comments Thread For: Yoandris Salinas To Face Oscar Escandon on May 31

South Florida-based Cuban Yoandris Salinas (20-0-2, 13KOs) will return to the ring on May 31 in Las Vegas against Colombian Óscar Escandón (22-1, 15KOs).

Salinas will be looking to get back into the title mix at 122lbs following his draw in London last October against current WBA champion Scott Quigg.

He started well against Quigg, really controlled the action in the early rounds, but faded bad. I thought Quigg won by a round. But I wasn't complaining. I won a couple hundred of quid by putting Ł10 on the draw after seeing Salinas dominate early. I still had the Burns v Beltran fight fresh in my head.

Yeah, I thought Salinas was lucky to get off with a draw. He didn't look very impressive. If Yoandris manages to grab a belt, he won't hang into it for long.

Not with the master of the division, Rigondeaux.

lol I wasn't even thinking of Rigo. I was thinking about anyone who's better than Salinas, which would be a few people.

i'm petitioning these cubans to get some real names.

can't we just have a juan or a jose for once? is that so much to ask?

even rigondeaux doesn't know how you pronounce his last name. ask 10 cuban bsceners and you'll get 10 different answers [and one dude talking about lucas matthysse.]
