The only hype I've seen with wilder is from casual fans. I think pretty much anybody that's done more than look at his record sees he has flaws that could get him ko'd.

I've seen nothing other than he's not that skilled but has huge power from almost everyone including the broadcasters who make a point to say he's fought nobody.

There were posters that Honestly believed Broner was going to be fighter of the decade.That's a pretty far cry from the Wilder hype.

The Haye sparring session shows all of the opponents coming after Haye, fighting in close quarters. Why? Because Haye was training for Tyson Fury, and Fury (despite his size) likes inside fighting. Wilder and the others were instructed to emulate Fury.

Wilder usually fights at longer range than in that sparring, so it's not his natural style. Obviously he is going to look sloppy fighting that way. Also as others point out, it's like 5 seconds of footage. His team hand-picked footage to make Haye look good. They didn't show you the parts where Haye looked to be in trouble.

I don't agree. Has he been moved along slowly? Yes he has, but he is doing exactly what he needs to do in is fights. They've tried to up his level of comp, but he has taken these fighters out before we get a chance to see him tested. I really thought Scott was going to give him a boxing lesson, but he never got a chance. the only thing we know is that Wilder can punch, we don't know if he can handle adversity yet. I would really like to see how he handles a fighter like Arreola. A guy who can take a punch and never stops pressuring you.

He has been so carefully matched its laughable.his team have have hand picked his opponents,it's blatant they wanted to build a guy with 30kayos.if they actually gave a **** about his boxing education they'd have had him in with guys like Guinn and Johnson,guys they know full well who'd give him 12 rounds,instead they've served up and fed him guys who struggle to walk into the ring,let alone out of it.

Is he getting hyped that much? Or is he getting what you'd expect for an American who is huge, has huge power, makes exciting pro fights and comes off an Olympic medalist background? He earned any hype he's got and it's really not that much looking past these boards.

coming from a brit i think he would beat fury. just because all of his pro fights have ended in ko doesnt mean he can't box. you dont get to the olympics not knowing how to box and i highly doubt he koed everyone in the amateurs so he must have some sort of boxing ability.
