Undefeated super bantamweight Abdul “Kid Galahad” Barry Awad (16-0, 8 KO’s) stayed unbeaten with a lopsided 12 round unanimous decision win over a badly overmatched Sergio Prado (9-4-1, 3 KO’s) on Saturday night to capture the vacant European 122lb title at the Ponds Forge Arena, Sheffield, UK. The final judges’ were 117-111, 118-110, and 120-108.
Galahad hit Prada with a lot of heavy shots, but the Spaniard to his credit took them. Galahad showed good power and excellent defensive skills and making Prado look really bad.

That guy he beat was not that good its that simple. EBU is a very respectable accolade, but we have to look the fighter he beat. Galahad tries too hard to fit in to the Frampton-Quigg mix but he is not there for another year atleast. Being Yemeni doesnt mean he is Hamed plus he doesnt have his pop either.

Yes he is a good talent, but he should stay at Euro level for some time before jumping up.

It was a nice performance last night but who did he beat? That knockdown he suffered to Booth and that James ****ens shot that stunned him makes me think Frampton and Quigg stop Barry.
