San Juan, Puerto Rico - Junior lightweight contender Jose "Sniper" Pedraza won a dominating twelve round unanimous decision to capture the vacant International Boxing Organization (IBO) championship with a solid win over Alberto Garza at the Auditorio Juan Pachín Vicéns. Pedraza, 24, got scores of 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111. Pedraza suffered a cut on his forehead in the second round from an accidental headbutt. He raises his record to 16-0 and 10 knockouts.

Quit your *****in. Some people are never satisfied. None of these titles mean anything till they unify, and they almost never do. Puerto Rico has a champion, he earned it, he did it the hard way. Let it go.

The ONLY major OFFICIAL titles in the alphabet group are WBA, WBC, IBF & the WBO & that's it. The IBO just like the IBA, WBF & the WBI & others are just as useless as the "interim", silver & gold titles that are floating around cause they are NOT OFFICIAL & nobody(except the organism as such & the person who won it)really recognizes them. & Pedraza needs to start fighting better opposition, cause he's not proving anything if he keeps fighting these "Tomato Cans". This fighter has been KO'd twice in his last 5 fights.As of now We(Puerto Rico) does NOT have a world champion.
