Comments Thread For: Guerrero: Al Haymon Deal Best Career Move Right Now

GILROY CA - As BoxingScene.com reported earlier, multiple world champion, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (31-2-1, 18 KOs), who's co-manager by Bob Santos and Luis Decubas Jr., has signed an agreement with world renowned adviser, Al Haymon.

After a long layoff, Guerrero is eager to get back in the ring and start another run toward a world title. With the addition of Haymon, sky is the limit for Guerrero, who will most likely be returning to the ring in the very near future.

You guys sound like a bunch of cheerleaders. Did you ever think he might be getting protected (he being Thurman). Thurman can be beat. He still has a lot of kinks to iron out. What's going to happen when somebody takes his punch?

Yes, GBP is his promoter, Al Haymon is an adviser/manager he does not promote.

Guerrero already turned down an offer to fight Thurman, so who's being protected? As a matter of fact Guerrero turned down numerous offers to fight some of the top fighters in GBP stable, he turned down all the fights then tried to sue GBP to get out of his contract. This was revealed in a Boxing scene article during the attempted lawsuit, you should be able to find it in the archives.
