There is video of what caused the swelling. It was a flukey injury, not a precise left hook like people want to make you think. The fight did a 180 once his eye swelled. It was a important event within the fight, and likely changed the outcome. So yes, I bring it up as it's the single most important thing that transpired in that fight.

he's not all that to begin with anyway.

anybody who struggles with past prime erik morales after morales went through the ringer with pacquiao will always be limited in my eyes.

Who did he really beat other than matthysse (who has mathysse really beat?)?

Even if it was a precise left hook there was no way Garcia threw that thinking I am going to swell his eye shut with this shot.

It is similar to liver shot knockouts, nobody throws a body shot thinking this is ending the fight, it just hits the spot and it is over. People get mad when you call that lucky though, even though there is a huge element of luck involved in ending/altering a fight that way.

It is boxing **** happens when you throw punches to hurt the other guy~ sometimes you are fortunate sometimes you aren't but someone does have to throw the punch to get the fortunate outcome.

fighters are allowed to have off days, so long as they aren't given the damn decision when it's clear that they really lost

someone does have to poke you in the eye to make you half blind. i suppose that's just luck. who would have thought poking a guy in the eye would lead to him not being able to see...such a weird world.

I don't think the outrage is about Garcia having an off day. The outrage is him being awarded a decision he didn't deserve on this off day.
