Froch and Groves II, the same.

All of them get beat by Ward. But probably nowhere near the money gained for all involved for a matchup.

Better strike while the iron is hot.
Like I said I wouldn't call it that and there are plenty of people who can be consistent for those very reasons because those people understand the sport.

As I am sure you know there are a lot of people either need to change some things they harp on or they need to call this the same as that. Which I would be much happier if those people just came to their senses (which is probably asking a lot) but if not at least be consistent (which is also asking too much probably).

GGG fears nobody. He will fight Chavez next most likely. He would fight Ward but not in California and not for the short end of the money.

Because they are idiots who just make things up and have no clue what they are talking about.

I certainly wouldn't call it that but by how a lot of people call it that is what they would have to say that at least if they care about not look like a hypocrit (which most probably don't sadly)
I'd call it that, he said anyone from 154-168...then his team and his fans said unfinished business at 160....now chavez jr....it looks pretty bad...there's no two ways around it. Just say you want the bigger payday for an easier fight, greater boxers than GGG have said it.

I get that but he is really under no obligation to fight Ward, plus he could still fight Ward after. I just never considered that sort of thing ducking, more like making the proper career move.

It does look bad though, but the surface appearance of things in boxing never concerned me much as it is kind of easy to make someone look bad publicly in the sport.

Has Ward or any other 168er made an offer? He probably should have, since after Chavez GGG's leverage will grow a ton. Chavez is the money fight above 154. If you think it looks bad, how does it look when Chavez gets called out by #2 p4p, lineal 168 champ?

Golovkin Would Like To Face Ward, But Not Now

WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (28-0, 25KOs) could see the possibility of facing Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs), the WBA champion at super middleweight, in the future. Golovkin returns on February 1 in Monte Carlo against Osumanu Adama. Golovkin seems to be focused on cleaning out the middleweight division, and then he'll consider the idea of moving up in weight to face Ward, who will be the odds-on favorite in the fight.

I kinda see it that way also, but I certainly won't fault team GGG for fighting Chavez Jr. Much easier fight for more money.

I never find fault in people who get punched in the face for a living for trying to make as much coin as they can
