Here's an idea to make Thurman more marketable for Floyd.

Hes light years away from a Floyd fight. His handlers arent that ****** hed be embarrassed by Floyd right now BADLY. Hed be shut out with ease.
I mean cmon.
Wayyyyy too soon. If Canelo was green then Thurman is the Incredible Hulk.

Agreed. It always comes down to money and promotion. That is Dlh and Arum's issue.
Pac and Floyd were ready to fight, but the purse split is something advisors on both sides couldn't agree on, and when Floyd did agree, the cutoff date became an issue.Comment

1. I never said Floyd himself is avoiding Thurman. I think the powers that be behind the scenes, want him nowhere near Floyd. For the sake of this thread, I'll just leave it at that.Thurman isn't. He got his first semi decent win against Soto Karass. If he gets another good win at 147. I say let it happen. Problem is I think Thurman will be avoided.
Thurman is supposedly being avoided by Floyd, and he has 1 good win. While Maidana has 3 good or decent wins at the weight, and is being seen as a cherry pick???
Ridiculous
2. Yes, I think Maidana is an easy as hell match up for Floyd, but it's not a cherry pick if he earned it.
3. That's my point with Thurman beating Khan. It's Maidana/Broner all over again, and let's be honest. Beating Khan is much harder than Broner, imo. And then you add in the fan base of Khan's, it makes so much sense.
4. I'm not saying beating Khan is the ultimate litmus test for a Floyd fight. I'm saying it's the perfect storm to get to Floyd. It's like Berto all over again for Ortiz and Guerrero, except you know damn well Thurman poses more problems than either of those guys.Comment

Hell I dont even chalk Soto-Karass as a good win. That was a solid victory nothing more imo.Thurman isn't. He got his first semi decent win against Soto Karass. If he gets another good win at 147. I say let it happen. Problem is I think Thurman will be avoided.

Ridiculous
Thurman has shown me absolutely nothing in the ring to say he could beat Floyd or even fight the guy.
Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too soon. This is laughable.Comment

I'd like to see Thurman fight Collazo or Guerrero next. Maybe Devon Alexander if no one else.
And if all else fails, maybe just go directly at Matthysse or even Herrera. They could move up if no one wants to fight Thurman.Comment
