I watched the interview on Sky and it was both hilarious and tragic. Khan was beaming about having actually spoken to Floyd, he really emphasised the word "champ", like he was on cloud nine that Floyd really called him that.
I would be, too, if the best in my business called me that. That is an honor. Nothing wrong with it at all.
Amir Khan was convinced he was going to face WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The British fighter was crushed when Mayweather pushed him to the side and selected WBA champion Marcos Maidana as the May opponent.
Recently, Khan and Mayweather spoke directly on the phone and discussed the possibility of facing each other down the line. To set that up, Khan has been offered a featured undercard spot on the Mayweather-Maidana Showtime Pay-Per-View, and former welterweight champion Luis Collazo is the rumored opponent.

I don't understand how some fighters feel they deserve certain fights based on their mouths. If he would just win his big fights, we the fans would be calling for the fight too.
This numbskull needs better handlers. His management are a bunch of yes men and Khan probably thought a PUBlicist was a drinking buddy because they have to be on Rob Ford "drunken stupers" to let him walk around acting the way he does.
