Oscar has the greatest list of opponents ever
He fought 3 different guys that were the reigning p4p #1. Hopkins Floyd manny
Floyd has better longevity, but he never took the schedule like oscar had..
Oscar would be undefeated had he fought Floyd's resume,,,, Floyd would have 3 or 4 losses had he fought oscars resumeComment

Mayweather v. DLH's resume:
Pacquiao (2008): Mayweather UD (some interesting rounds perhaps)
Hopkins (2004): Hopkins TKO8 or UD (too big, too rugged, too crafty)
Felix Sturm (2004): Sturm UD/MD (laser jab, excellent footwork, tall/rangy)
Shane Mosley (2000): Mosely UD/TKO8 (too strong, too fast, too much stamina and pressure)
Trinidad (1999): Mayweather UD (left hook won't land)
Whitaker (1997): Mayweather UD (Pernell too coked up)
Chavez (1996): Mayweather UD
Mayweather v. Cotto's resume:
Martinez (2014): Mayweather UD/MD or Martinez MD/TKO8 (depends on how Martinez's injuries are)
Trout (2012): Mayweather UD/MD
Pacquiao (2009): Mayweather MD/SD
Margarito (2008): Mayweather MD/Margarito TKO10
Mosely (2007): Mayweather UD (more competitive than 2010 Mosely)Last edited by BafanaBafana; 03-19-2014, 10:57 PM.Comment

i said it in the past trout would give mayweather a harder fight than anyone he has faced and will probably win styles make fights.. Pacquiao would have tko'ed floyd if they fought 2008-2009 or better yet he would have stood on his stool and just quit alot of punishment hes not ready forMayweather v. DLH's resume:

I agree he would have a much tougher time against the opponents he didn't face (and could have) than the ones he did end up facing. I think the 2009 Pac that fought Cotto would have a better chance against Floyd than the 2008 version that was just getting his feet wet at 147 for the first time against DLH. I think Mayweather Trout would (and could have) present(ed) an intriguing style match up: How would Floyd deal with Trout's height/reach advantage, southpaw counterpunching style, good stamina, and high output?i said it in the past trout would give mayweather a harder fight than anyone he has faced and will probably win styles make fights.. Pacquiao would have tko'ed floyd if they fought 2008-2009 or better yet he would have stood on his stool and just quit alot of punishment hes not ready for
DLH v. Mayweather's resume:
(this really depends on what version of De La Hoya were talking about so I'll go with the best version of DLH at each weight class)
Alvarez (2013) UD
Guerrero (2013) TKO8
Cotto (2012) UD
Ortiz (2011) TKO6
Mosely (2010) UD
JMM (2009) UD (shutout or near shutout, 130-35 JMM too small)
Hatton (2008) TKO5
Old DLH (2007) UD/RTD8
Baldomir (2006) UD/TKO11
Judah (2006) TKO8
Gatti (2005) TKO4 (DLH leftovers)
JL Castillo (2002) TKO10 (DLH was a hard hitter in the lower weight classes)
D. Corrales (2001) TKO8
G. Hernandez (1998) RTD4 (Mayweather fought DLH's leftovers, so I see DLH handling an older more shot Hernandez even faster the second time)
Yes, given the criteria I specified in the beginning, Oscar De La Hoya definitely goes through Mayweather's resume undefeated and does so rather easily.Comment

Oscar lost some of his biggest fights sadly, but if Oscar was undefeated with that resume and Floyd with his, they both stopped now, and compared, Oscar would blow him out of the water, just like he would have blown him out of the ring in his prime.
WAR DE LA HOYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
