For a fighter like Angulo that relies on his ability to physically impose himself on his opponents, that's a huge advantage; it was clearly evident in the fight. Angulo was getting rocked, but still relentlessly plowed forward with reckless abandoned.

Don't be fooled. What Canelo and his team did on the day of the weigh in was planned. They had absolutely no intention on making the limit. In doing so, Canelo didn't drain himself attempting to lose that extra pound; this allowed him to be fresher and stronger than Angulo; who actually intended on making the limit.

If it's true, even if Lara and his team were being naive, does make a difference. The biggest differences in Lara's and Canelo's respective fights with Angulo were: Angulo showed more respect for Canelo's power, and Canelo was able to physically impose himself on Angulo. I don't know, but being 10 lbs lighter might affect your ability to do that.

angulo fights in slow motion, besides angulo was 4lbs heavier than canelo, on such a mismatch shouldnt make that much difference... a welteweight on silva was able to push back and beat angulo...

I'm not convinced the OP is right ... canelo has already been to school v floyd. He's learned a lot from that imo he'd probably get the better of lara

My problem with these Lara threads is that they don't seem to want Mayweather vs Lara. If Lara is that good, why not go for Mayweather vs Lara? Mayweather is the winner in the Canelo vs Mayweather, not Canelo. Mayweather is the bigger money fight, not Canelo.

If you're thinking like that, then why aren't you accounting for the fact that Canelo struggled like h3ll with Trout

on the other hand Lara made Trout look like a nobody

Lara has a deep stylistic advantage over Alvarez

Alvarez can't make adjustments on the fly like Floyd, but he's still a smart guy. Due to the latter he can avoid being completely schooled.

The biggest worry with this fight is Lara being robbed. It'd be easy for them to justify robbing Lara.

Lara would beat Canelo pretty easily. Everyone is high off the Angulo fight, and Canelo does very well with fighters who stand in front of him.

Lara would move and beat Canelo similar to how Floyd did. If Canelos feet aren't planted then he's not getting of his combinations.

Lara won't stand there like a dumbass
