Middleweight puncher Marco Antonio Rubio is doing whatever he can to assist WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana in his ongoing training camp. Both Rubio and Maidana train under coach Robert Garcia, and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, in Oxnard. Floyd's shoulder roll derived from Rubio's.

        Good choice of sparring partner

            You guys are goofs.

He's obviously not going to imitate Floyd's style but he can give Chino ideas on how to apply pressure, how to cut off the ring, and how to set up some combinations. That kind of thing.

While never having fought any one like Floyd

Chino should know better than Rubio how to fight Mayweather, he beat a watered down(severely watered down) Floyd.

It didnt say that they were sparring it looks like they were just running/doing conditioning together .

He's never fought anyone like Floyd but Rubio has a similar style to Maidana. He might have some tips to help him maximize that style.

The dude has been in 65 fights. That experience can be valuable.
