I normally hate these sort of threads, and admit I only thought it because Garcia looked so bad this week.

The division's not that deep, is it?

Brutal fight with Ruslan. Outboxed by Herrera. But out hustles Garcia and is quicker than Peterson

I think he would be right up there with the best if not the best. Imagine Hatton vs Rios?

He'd be no less than top 2-3. His feet were so quick, and he could just smother and tire your arms out with his grappling.

Can make a case that he'd be #1.

I think he would be one of the best at 140 right now if he would have built himself back up the correct way. He should have taken a softer tune up in his comeback fight. Erik Morales was out for 3 years just like Hatton and after 3 soft tune ups he went on to do good against Maidana and Garcia (1st fight). Hatton could have been a monster at 140 after 3 or 4 tune ups.

He should have taken a softer tune up, he looked good in the early rounds against Senchenko too, smh.

Prime Hatton would be the king of 140. I always thought Garcia was beatable, looking at his performances against Theophane and Khan ( if Amir's chin wasn't a ****ing Kleenex he would've beat Danny EASY)

I do think prime Ricky beats Danny

One thing about Hatton is that he could actually box quite a bit better than people give him credit, and he showed too.

He obviously fought like total crap against Ping Ping. Not saying he would have WON, but he could have done better for himself. Obviously there's the grappling and the rushing in crap.

To illustrate what I mean - in the first round against Maiii, he holds back, shows a feint, and is actually able to land a flush jab against him, momentarily knocking him off balance.

In round ten he rushes into a counter like a dumb ****. The two ****s of The Paler.
