One of the most ferocious lightweights of current times? Thoughts on him?

    Diaz was great to watch
dude was all action and was gobbling up all the belts
think he woulda handled Casamayor if he'd gotten the chance
wasn't expecting Campbell to beat him up like he did
then the Katsidis fight was a dull disappointment
the 1st piss drinker fight was great, but he lost and fell off
for a guy who had school/legal work outside the ring, Diaz was a beast
taking 2 punishing losses in 3 fights wrecked him though
Diaz outshined Casamayor at his peak despite Joel being lineal champ

Prime Baby Bull was a bad mofo!!

I still say he left it all in the ring that night in his war with JMM. Great, GREAT fight!

Juan Diaz was an excellent and entertaining fighter.

An effective pressure fighter, who had the stamina to apply constant pressure and throw a lot of punches. His first fight against Marquez was FOTY contender, but things went downhill for him after that.

He was a champion in an average lightweight division though, and IMO he would have lost to prime Casamayor, Corrales and Castillo at 135.

that would be foolish for diaz, if his promoter is top rank they are going to build him back up slowly. hes a name they could slap on undercards, lol

Good assessment. I also think that if Diaz had power, he would have been an ATG.

Imagine that animal with 1 punch power?
