yeah when I read the list.

I scrolled about 5 names down and didin't see Foreman's name.

Obviously he is listed at #9 but I was going to make a conscious decision to completely void the this of any credibility whatsoever.

As it stands it's probably in the zero to slightly negative credibility range.

      This just in:

      Joe Louis my ass.

        Joe Louis belongs at #1.

Despite some omissions, inclusions, & placements....it is really an amazing magazine.

before knocking it, Run, get a copy of it. It is truly awesome

I'm really confused as to the criteria used to determine who punches better. I saw that brief description, but I'd really have to say I'm justified in making this assumption.

Foreman hit so damn hard: as a variable in that equation it should outweight all the other variables by a large margin.

That skews the equation in favor of Big George.

          Edit...."better" not "harder"

Heads up, it is probably true that Foreman hit harder than Louis due to his size advantage, but the list is pound-4-pound. And i believe Louis hit just as hard as Foreman, p4p. Okay, maybe not just as hard, but not far behind. Additionally, Louis had all the elements that make up a perfect puncher: handspeed, technique, accuracy, precision, etc., qualities that Foreman lacked. Like the issue said, Louis probably couldn't "throw a sloppy punch if he tried".

Yes, power is heavily weighed in compiling such a list, but when that is equal, or nearly equal, you must look to other attributes that constitutes a good puncher.
