Former Ricky Burns opponent José ‘Chelo’ González (22-1, 17 KOs), was due to return to the ring last Saturday on the Danny García-Mauricio Herrera undercard but had to pull out at the last minute due to illness.
According to José Sánchez Fournier of Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día, González, who was scheduled to fight Ramesis Gil, was physically indisposed and vomited three times in the dressing room before the fight.
