I really want Lara to be Canelo's next opponent but I doubt it will be him. I think Canelo's team wants to stick to the set dates they have of July 26th and November 22nd. Waiting to see what happens with Lara vs. Smith on May 2nd could be risky because Lara could lose (not likely) or get cut or injured. I think people forget that Canelo vs. Angulo was announced in the middle of January, which gave them only a month and a half to promote the fight, but they still did 350,000 PPVs. They probably want to announce his next opponent A.S.A.P. so they can possibly sell more PPVs this time around. If they announce an opponent in mid-April they'll have 3 full months to promote.
