Exactly the first fight that popped in my head when I saw this thread. You are the only one that got it right in my opinion. Foreman-Lyle was the most violent fight in recent memory that I can truly remember. Sure there are others are the lighter weights Gatti-Ward, Castillo-Corrales, Hagler-Hearns, Marquez-Vazquez Taylor- Chavez, but this heavy weight fight right here is the definition of savagery and violence combined together. Every punch was thrown with murderous intent and coming from serious heavyweights punchers at that so this definitely gets my number one vote.

Love this fight. A personal favorite.

Lewis vs Briggs. That man took a lot of punishment.

Prince Charles Williams vs Merqui Sosa... this was a real brutal bloody war. The referee stop both fighters simultaneously for too much damage!
        Also the rematch was brutal

It's amazing how many ****s here don't seem to have a seen a fight before 1990.

I enjoy the hyper chess matches that Ping Ping and Piss Breath put on, but the most violent fights of all time? REALLY?

In terms of a **** sapien receiving damage...

I would have to say... Nigel Benn vs Gerald McClellan

and Sergey Kovalev vs Roman Simakov.

These matches are too brutal. So brutal that I have trouble watching them.
