Comments Thread For: Luis Collazo Hopes The Amir Khan Fight Can Be Made

British star Amir Khan is pushing to get a position on the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana undercard on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Khan (28-3, 19KOs) is ready to make his welterweight debut in search of facing Mayweather later in the year.

Former welterweight champion Luis Collazo (35-5, 18KOs) has been mentioned as a potential opponent. He has Khan at the top of his list and waits for a contract to face him.

    War Collazo

    I'd be down for Collazo/Thurman - that's a great test for Thurman

Winnable fight for both! Collazo is sneaky on the inside. I think he could pose Khan some problems. Khan's speed could pose the same threat for Collazo. I say make the fight while Collazo is still fresh on people's minds.

Perhaps because Thurman is in a different weight class? Haha

Wow! Really? So Alvarez is avoiding Keith now? Guess he also must be avoiding Broner, Maidana, and Garcia huh!

No its not! Chaves was a good test for Thurman. He passed the test now time to move on to bigger names. Everyone needs to calm down just because Collazo KOed Ortiz. He's still a C level fighter

Collazo's best chance is timing Khan
