Because he handpicks opponents who don't have 12 round stamina (Guerrero, Ortiz, Gatti, Hatton, Cotto, Canelo, Oldsley, shot DLH, etc.) and avoids opponents that have good championship rounds stamina (Martinez, Lara, Pacquiao, Margarito, Williams, lightweight Mosely, etc.)

Good post. Mayweather's power is underestimated. Then you can't hit him. Must suck so much haha, kinda like Rigondeaux as well.

Yeah, but he lacks the skills, the speed and probably the chin, too.

If heart and determination were enough to beat Floyd, he wouldn't be the best defensive fighter in the world.

Because his opponents health come first. They start thinking about how Ali is today and start realizing how they want to spend the rest of their life with their family a health man....so they start going into survival mode.

Ridiculous. How do you even gauge "physical gifts" ?

Mayweather started boxing at like 6 years old, he was able to hone his craft in his athletic prime, unlike Hopkins.

Mayweather relies on his craft just as much as Hopkins.

It's all the mind games. It has to be taxing mentally.

All the missed punches that get countered. Frustration kicks in. Those walls of self-belief etched into your mind begin to erode.

One second hes the smaller man the next hes walking you down.
Then when you finally catch him clean he smiles at you.

It all has to be so discouraging that you eventually lose belief.
to be frustrated in chasing an elusive foe does not easily equate to going into survival mode.....

there is a very big difference between frustration and self preservation....specially concerning one's health....
